One of the oldest and most scenic parks in Oak Lawn, Lake Shore Park (96th St. & East Shore Dr.) lies at the banks of Oak Lawn Lake and just southwest of the emerging downtown area of Oak Lawn. The park features two playgrounds, ½ basketball court, tennis courts with pickleball lines, Story Walk, plus plenty of opportunities to revel in nature.
Located within this park are the Little White Building and the Dream Center, which hosts Special Recreation programs for all ages including Special Recreation University, which offers additional opportunities for young adults of all abilities.
