FLASH Days Off School
On most school days off, FLASH offers childcare to any child in Kindergarten through 8th Grade at the Community Pavilion (9401 S Oak Park Ave).
The fees for these days are not included in your regular FLASH tuition. We offer a vast variety and diverse set of trips and theme days. During the 2023-2024 school year, FLASH visited such places as Sloomoo Institute in Chicago, Safari Land in Villa Park, and Water Works in Schaumburg. Theme days offered included Superhero Day, STEM Day, and Tye Dye Day.
FLASH DOES NOT PROVIDE LUNCH ON THESE DAYS. PLEASE SEND YOUR CHILD(REN) WITH A SACK LUNCH. FLASH will provide a morning and afternoon snack to children though.
HOW TO REGISTER
Current Participants:
Children ages 5-13 enrolled in the FLASH program are welcome to attend FLASH day-off-of-school childcare days, as well as children NOT enrolled in regular FLASH (anyone can register!). Information regarding these days will be communicated in an informational email to regular FLASH parents/guardians, from the FLASH staff at the school themselves, and on the Oak Lawn Park District website. Register for these days MUST be done either at the Community Pavilion, or on the Oak Lawn Park District website. If your child does not already have a red FLASH t-shirt that is required to go on trips, one can be purchased at the Community Pavilion front desk for $10.
